Lake Tansi Village

              the great outdoors and more

With 550 acres of clear water, Lake Tansi is an ideal location for swimming, water skiing, boating, sailing and fishing. You’re bound to find a spot where the fish are biting! In addition to the natural beauty they bring to the area, three smaller lakes, Lake Mohawk, Lake Geronimo
and Lake Hiawatha help to make Lake Tansi Village a fisherman’s paradise. Fishing boats with electric motors only are allowed on the smaller lakes. All lakes at Lake Tansi Village are stocked with bluegill, yellow perch, crappie and large mouth bass. A full service marina is located on the southwest side of Lake Tansi. Here you’ll find fishing boat and pontoon rentals, as well as a bait shop.
There will be no need to head for a beach on the coast to soak up a few rays of sunshine. Just head over to the northwest side of Lake Tansi to discover a large, sandy beach. The beach area offers picnic facilities, a playground, restrooms and a 300-foot boardwalk with benches and soft lighting.
If you’re more inclined to stay on shore, don’t worry! Lake Tansi Village has more than enough recreational facilities to keep you on the go! For starters, try a round on the links. A beautiful 18 hole, par 72, championship golf course is located on Lake Tansi’s east side. Before your tee time, stop in at the full service pro shop, where you’ll find everything you need to keep your game on par. After that last putt drops, relax at the 19th Hole Restaurant
If you’re not ready for the challenges of a regulation size golf course, why not try your luck at the Thunderbird Activity Center’s putt-putt course. In addition to putt-putt golf, the center includes all-weather tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool, shuffleboard and a playground. You’ll discover more  recreational opportunities at the Health and Racquetball Center. Located near the 2nd fairway of the golf course, the center offers a variety of activities, including dancercise, aerobics classes, nautilus and universal training equipment, Jacuzzis, certified racquetball courts and tanning beds.

Biking and hiking trails are located throughout the wooded areas surrounding the lakes at Lake Tansi Village. There are approximately one and one-half miles of maintained trails in a gorgeous setting, offering numerous opportunities to view the natural beauty and the abundant wildlife of the area.

Stay in shape year round by swimming at the Country Club Complex on the east side of Lake Hiawatha. The complex provides an indoor, heated swimming pool, all-weather tennis courts, a pavilion, picnic area and restaurant.

The Hiawatha Community Center, located on the east side of Lake Hiawatha, is used for a number of cultural and social activities including a library, bridge club and creative arts classes.
