Golf Mecca of the South
Cumberland
County is becoming known not only as the golf capital of Tennessee, but
also of the South. With 162 holes and 9 courses, Cumberland County
provides wonderful year-round golfing.
We have a wide range of
facilities; private, public, and resort. All offer outstanding
golf. Some of the county's most breathtaking views can also be
found from various tees, greens, and fairways along the Cumberland
Plateau. They make postcards of these views!
Cumberland
County golf was also a big hit in Golf Digest. Of the "Top Ten
Places to Play in Tennessee", three are located in Crossville. They
include Stonehenge at Fairfield Glade Resort, Heatherhurst at Fairfield
Glade Resort, and Briarwood at Cumberland Gardens.
A
beautiful new eighteen
hole Nicklaus course is now located at Cumberland Mountain State Park.
Some
exciting course additions are scheduled in the near future. Mountain
Ridge is adding nine holes to their current nine to make an eighteen
hole facility. The Heatherhurst course at Fairfield Glade
is adding another nine holes to their current twenty-seven hole layout.
Fairfield Glade is also planning their next course.
